UNDP Multi Country Office in Jamaica is excited to announce our partnership with Bermuda’s 5th Annual Youth Climate Summit (YCS), a collaboration that paves the way for Caribbean youth outside Bermuda to register as virtual delegates for the first 4 days of the Summit.
A deep dive into Climate Action
This partnership provides a valuable platform for continued engagement with our Ready Set Great participants and young environmental advocates throughout the Bahamas, Belize, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Together we will advance the climate pillar of our Ready Set Great Call to Action, ensuring that youth representation and solutions on the climate crisis are heard and respected.
As we work to maintain momentum in youth climate engagement, this collaboration offers our participants meaningful opportunities to connect with peers and experts on a regional and global scale.
4 ways UNDP is contributing to Bermuda Youth Climate Summit
UNDP’s collaboration with BUEI spans multiple days of the Summit programme.
DAY 2 | TUE 18 NOV: Two of our outstanding youth activists from UNDP’s Ready Set Great initiative will present virtually alongside international peers, sharing Caribbean perspectives and their innovative climate action.
DAY 3 | WED 19 NOV: Dr. Kishan Khoday, UNDP Resident Representative, one of three subject matter experts presenting virtually, will bring institutional expertise and policy insights to the dialogue.
DAY 5 | FRI 21 NOV: The Ready Set Great youth-developed Call to Action, particularly Goal 4, will inform the development of Bermuda’s alumni action document, demonstrating the impact of youth-led policy development.
GREEN JOBS | FRI 21 NOV: UNDP will also host an exclusive green jobs panel for YCS alumni, highlighting sustainable career pathways and the growing green economy in our region. This session is also open to virtual delegates.
