A Call To Action on International Day for the Eradication of Poverty – 17 Oct & 18 Oct.
Every youth is born to be great at something. Some of us have it figured out and some of us are still figuring it out. Ready Set Great is the platform for youth doing or determined to do great things for their nation. Together we’ll tackle great challenges of our time, learn from great leaders of our time and bolster our own personal journey to become great at that one thing we love to do. This October 17, 2024, join us in championing the eradication of extreme and multidimensional poverty among youth by advancing the 2023 Call To Action on Youth Poverty produced by young people in Jamaica.

6 Reasons why you should register for Ready Set Great
Ready Set Great, a creative platform for youth advocacy and empowerment, is produced and hosted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Multi Country Office in Jamaica in partnership with youth leaders and agencies in government and academia. Since 2020, UNDP has partnered with youth and institutional partners to amplify youth concerns about challenges impacting their peers and to provide a premium developmental experience and opportunity for young people. The Ready Set Great 2024 experience is loading with six key highlights.

Extreme poverty and multidimensional poverty are still challenges in the general population, but youth figures are typically higher. That’s why we’re on a mission for more data, better policies and more targeted interventions to address the unique challenges of youth poverty. Sign up for 1 of 4 technical groups to brainstorm plans to advocate for the 2023 Call to Action on Youth Poverty in the post conference period. Thematic groups are: (1) Youth empowered to achieve their fullest potential; (2) Youth living in a safe, cohesive, and just society; (3) Youth accessing the benefits of a prosperous economy; (4) Youth contributing to and championing a healthy natural environment.

Working with leaders who know the ins and outs of business, career and social activism, we aim to support youth with a heart to achieve their dreams and a heart to serve.
